Box Plots
The Branch of Quality Systems (BQS) operates an Organic Blind Sample Project (OBSP). One of the goals of the project is to document bias and variability for the National Water Quality Laboratory (NWQL) through the use of blind quality assurance (QA) samples. From these summaries, districts can be informed of the NWQL's performance on QA samples that parallel their own environmental samples.

The boxplots show the distribution of the blind organic QA data for different concentration ranges. The plots also show outliers and quartile ranges of the recovery data. The boxplots show individual analytes in every method that OBSP assesses and also displays some descriptive statistics since January 1996.

A red box plot (as opposed to blue-gray) is an indication of a permanently estimated compound .

NOTE: Plots are presented as graphical images. Use the back button on your browser to return to analyte choices or use the links above the "Organic Blind Sample Project" tab.
